The big gills are just finishing up spawning and moving to the weed edges. Red worms or waxworms. Are the bests baits. Northern pike are showing up in big numbers. We are seeing a lot of fish from 12' to 24' . These fish are the result of some superb spawning on the east side of the inlet. SAFE TO SWIM AND BOAT.

Bluegills have moved to the cribs and are easy to catch using waxworms or small trout worms. Crappies are on the weed edges or suspended over the crib and can be caught using small minnows. Big Green Fishing Report. Tuesday, June 10, 2008. 6' of Rain and Cottonwood Seeds. 3-5 ft of visibility. Carp starting to spawn. Bluegills are starting to spawn on the backwaters and move shallow on the main lake. Red worms have been the bait of choice with waxies a close second. Big Green Fishing Report. Wednesday, January 25, 2006. 45' - 25# Musky Catch and Release On Open Water. 36-37 degree surface water. All main lake landings remain open. Ten day forecast still not ice-like. Bluegills are still being caught but not in large numbers. Small jigs and plastics are still the best bait.
