In the past few weeks, I've become much more intimately acquainted with the world of DC food co-ops. Until early August, I was a member of the tiny, completely member-run City Garden Co-op. Just a short jaunt down Rhode Island Avenue from my new house, Glut Food Co-op. 2 tbsp of melted butter. 2 cups of milk. 1 1/3 cups of sugar. 4 slices of toasted bread. Tuesday, August 22, 2006.

This is meant to go with Ryan's Ultimate Dahl (to be published soon! 1 medium onion, chopped into cubes. 2 carrots, cut into 1 inch sticks. 1 potato, diced. 1 teaspoon grated ginger. 1 fresh tomato, chopped. Greens of any sort, chopped. 1 teaspoon mustard powder (Ryan uses Colman's English mustard powder). Salt and Sugar to taste. Monday, April 27, 2009.
