PRISM: Snow Day
http://bobbi-linkemer.blogspot.com/2010/12/snow-day.html
Reflections on the many colors of life. Sunday, December 12, 2010. Finally, it has been more than twenty years since snow was an issue in my life. Then, at last, no more fear of snow. No more guilt about not getting to work on time. No more anxiety at the sight of fluffy stuff . unless, of course, I'm caught off guard when I open the drapes. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Running in Place: February 2009
http://bucyrusbulletins.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Reflections on life in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Thursday, February 19, 2009. I love having visitors; especially when they enjoy playing games as much as I do (and doing crossword puzzles! Yesterday I introduced MD and C to the joys of bowling with the Wii. Both are getting better, though C still bemoans the fact that she doesn't do as well sometimes as MD. Unfortunately, the weather is not cooperating today to allow us to engage in MDs second favorite activity- shopping!

Running in Place: Getting Up on the Wrong Side of the Bed

Reflections on life in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Sunday, January 25, 2009. Getting Up on the Wrong Side of the Bed. Today has not been a good day. There is still tons of snow on the ground- the high was supposed to be 13 degrees today, so it doesn't look like it will be melting anytime soon, either (plus we are supposed to get more come Tuesday- yippee! Spring will not get here soon enough for my tastes! That is a bad way to start the day. I hope you get up on the right side tomorrow. Time S...

Reflections on the many colors of life. Monday, June 27, 2011. At Least It's Not January Any More. Welcome to guest blogger, Judy Mosbacher, editor, writer, and—oh, yes—my sister. Not only is she a terrific writer, but her message is SO worth reading. Why or why do we always need reminding of the lessons all around us? You know what it’s like, don’t you? Store to replace that little spongy thingy that sits on the tip of my cell phone headset. I’m wilting in the sauna-like heat, but I’m de...It has been m...

PRISM: Time Travel
http://bobbi-linkemer.blogspot.com/2011/01/time-travel.html
Reflections on the many colors of life. Monday, January 3, 2011. I am a time-travel junkie. I love time-travel movies, books, and TV programs. One of my favorite series of all time was Quantum Leap. In which an astronaut keeps getting bounced around in time, inhabiting the bodies and lives of people with big problems. The cult movie that is still going strong is Somewhere in Time. With Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. Recently, I have become addicted to the Outlander. Rock Around the Block. Stamp Out ...

Running in Place: Running in Place name change
http://bucyrusbulletins.blogspot.com/2009/04/running-in-place-name-change.html
Reflections on life in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Running in Place name change. I decided to change the name of this blog to better reflect the way I feel about my life right now. I feel like I am running in place and not getting anywhere. There are certainly things happening that show a certain amount of progress, but I have been feeling zero motivation to help things move along towards that progress. I hadnt heard that before, but it makes a good deal of sense.

Reflections on the many colors of life. Tuesday, January 4, 2011. The Lost Art of Conversation. When I took Spanish in high school the first sentences I learned were Como esta usted? Muy bien, gracious. Y usted? They meant, How are you? Very well, thank you. And you? The English equivalent is similar: How've you been? Or How're you doing? The answer is some variation on I'm fine, It's all good. Or whatever the expression of the moment may be. I'm a slow learner, but. I've got it now. It's all good, right?
