I had a day to spare in Hiroshima and decided at first to visit Miyajima – the famous floating torii gate. So Miyajima was a bit of a disappointment, but it was still pretty early in the day and on a whim I took the train to Onomichi, a small port city just over an hour from Hiroshima. Thai border patrol must have been getting pretty fed up of letting us back in again. Stayed in a nice hotel though! We continued our tradition of only eating fast food in Bangkok. I imagine it was rather peaceful and maybe he regretted ever bringing me along in the first place! I sat in the hotel restaurant and had a very lonely meal.
