EIGHT companies have thrown their support behind the Ford workers who will soon lose their jobs, signing up to the Geelong Advertiser's Jobs Drive campaign. The employers' interest is a boost to the hundreds of Geelong manufacturing workers to be out of a job by 2010, starting in November. Their support does not guarantee jobs for the workers but it gives them hope. Ms McAlary said some employees had already shown interest in the redundancy packages.
