Keep track of the trouble I can get into in Haines, AK! January 11, 2008. I have to tell you, the last few days spent in Haines have been interesting, good and bad, and very full. This picture was taken on the ferry up to Haines from Juneau on a GORGEOUS day- wonderful day to be on a boat. Believe it or not, many pictures like this one were taken but due to operator error, this one turned out the best. :). The last few pictures are from our drive out the highway to see eagles and swans.breathtaking.

Quite the statemtnt with which to begin a post, but why not just jump right in and be real? This is a safe space and we're all friends here. You can take it. I'm just tired. This news was also delivered to me on the day I received a raise for my "sunny disposition" and for the fact that "people enjoy working with me" and "I deserve it." I almost cried. I swear. I'm stressed out beyond my capacity right now, with moving and trying to create a small group and my work schedule is getting crazy and people are vising, BUT- I have to finish my blog. Priorities are priorities. :). Something else while still holding the pole) and even caught the final fish, making our total catch THIRTY fish (but we only kept sixteen). Well, anyway, back to the movie: I have decided to start cooking my way through a cookbook! Oh, I am so filled with want to create and behold! Is this what God felt like when He created the world? Is that why no sunset or sunrise is the same? I am beyond blessed, and wish to bless others too.

My natural cat-like curiosity got the better of me and I asked a fellow rider if she knew the scoop. Jury Summons, was her response. This was a TON of people. The line wrapped around the courthouse! Carlos and I are spending the long weekend with two other couples on the beautiful isles of Whidbey. I'm trying my hand at Beef Bourginogn (sp? For a second time, and am a little worried that I will buckle under the pressure of it being "as good as the last time". Not only was Carlos impressed with my recipe choice but the amazing mustard sauce reduction sauce that was paired with it! It all made for a really good and quiet Valentine's day! While I haven't been able to cook every weekend like I planned, I have been able to go to the Market every week and that was partly the point of my resolution.
