Nine Mile Skid: December 2006
http://ninemileskid.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 11, 2006. Tagged. OK I'll Play along. 1 I spent 7 years in the Iowa Army National Guard as mechanic. I was in Desert Shield/Storm, hay hauling across Iowa, and flood duty in '93. 2 I was the world's biggest gun nut. I loved big bore handguns and used to reload my own ammo and cast my own bullets. I was ticketed for blasting a squirrel from my car window with a .357 magnum at Spring Park. 4 I hate bike clothes! 5 I formed the Muni Militia. 6 I juggle fire. Posted by Joe at 10:07 PM. Mojoe...

Noah and I went out for some geocaching. This morning and we found this micro cache. This is the smallest cache that we've ever found, but somehow, we found it quickly. There's just enough room inside for a tiny scrap of paper on whcich we signed our initials. Posted by Joe at 7:12 PM. Links to this post. Links to this post.
Nine Mile Skid: October 2006
http://ninemileskid.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 15, 2006. Two of the kids and I attended the Lake Hendricks Cache-a-Thon in Riceville on Saturday. We found 27 of the 30 temporary caches hidden around the lake. It was sunny but windy and we nearly froze to death in the open. Still, we had a great time, won some prizes, and ate some good food. It's warmer today and enjoyed a beautiful Fall woods ride on my fixie. Posted by Joe at 11:19 AM. Links to this post. Thursday, October 12, 2006. Posted by Joe at 6:54 AM. Links to this post.

We concluded that it was more than 2.8 miles and damn strenuous. Needless to say, we were beat by the time we finished. Posted by Joe at 11:21 PM. Day 2 of o...
Nine Mile Skid: August 2006
http://ninemileskid.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 10, 2006. Show me something built to last. This Damn hot weather anyway! I got out on the hoopty Panasonic Sport 500 fixie last weekend for a drunk ride along the Cedar River. It seems that no matter how many nice bikes I have, I keep going back the Panasonic for most of my riding. The Panasonic was my first "nice" bike when I started riding in '98. Within a couple months, it was converted to fixed gear and remained so in one form or another. Fuck it. Drive on. Posted by Joe at 8:45 PM.
Nine Mile Skid: July 2006
http://ninemileskid.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 30, 2006. Small wheel turn by the fire and rod. Noah and I put in 16 miles this morning before it was too hot! We rode the Harry Cook nature trail to SPring Park and then followed the River Road along the Cedar River. We took a little rest in Mitchell before riding home. This was Noah's longest ride at 16 miles. Not too bad for a 7 year old. Stay Cool. Joe in Osage. Posted by Joe at 5:28 PM. Links to this post. Monday, July 24, 2006. Posted by Joe at 6:57 PM. Much ice, snow and wind in northern Iowa today. My only riding was to the store with the Xtracycle to get milk. I put in an easy 20 miler last Sunday and the weather was much nicer. Here's some pics from last Sunday. The Cobia 29er with 700x40's, aka. the Super Hybrid. Posted by Joe at 8:03 PM. Links to this post. Sunday, February 04, 2007.

Crazy, but I'll take it. I've also been noticing a lot of green grass. We're getting a dusting of snow this morning, but I doubt it'll last long. Posted by Joe at 10:05 AM. Links to this post. Monday, January 01, 2007. New Years Day ride along the Cedar River. The river and creek were up from the rain.
Nine Mile Skid: May 2006
http://ninemileskid.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 31, 2006. I went out for a quick 15 miler this evening, taking me along the Cedar River, onto some quiet blacktop, and finishing up with some choice gravel. The bugs were so bad along the river I had to be careful breathing. I caught one in the eye and spit out a couple more. My arms and legs were getting pelted by them. Posted by Joe at 10:59 PM.
