Aujourd'hui, alors que j’étais sur ma bécane, je pensais à mon itinéraire en VTT comme à un parcours d'obstacles et chaque fois que je franchissait une section connue du chemin, je venais de surmonter (et survivre! Une difficulté bien spécifique, tout comme si j'avais entrepris de sauter au dessus d'une série d'obstacles des plus variés. Today, we paid a visit to Sundance resort; a mere 45 minute away from Park City, to unwind in that rustic, authentic mountain retreat that enchanted Robert Redford in the late 50s and pushed him to first buy two acres of land for $500 in 1961 for building a cabin on it, before buying the resort's remaining 5,000 acres from the Stewarts, a sheep-herding family who ran the tiny Timphaven ski area. Just horse-drawn sleds and pedestrian traffic. A bucolic and quiet place if you see what I mean. I guess, Zermatt in Switzerland was the forerunner of that trend.
