外埔鄉北有大安溪，南有大甲溪高嶺形成向北頃斜的階梯地形，在堪輿學上的觀點堪稱「龍蟠虎踞」。最高處是東南方的永豐、六分村，第二高處是正南面的三崁村和西邊的水美村，第三級是大同村，第四級是中山、馬鳴村，第五級是大東、鐵山兩村的後湖盆地，最下一層則是斷崖下自成一格的河川新生地，土城、廓子二村。是台灣南北氣候分界線。 訂閱： 張貼留言 (Atom).
