Wander & Maunder: River Rogues
http://www.wanderandmaunder.com/2014/03/river-rogues.html
Thursday, March 13, 2014. Here are some photos that I shot last July during a rafting trip down the Rogue River in southern Oregon. Hopefully some newer photos will be on the way soon as well. I finally got my camera fixed, although this is only partially responsible for the long hiatus between posts. As my sister demonstrates, down time is a crucial part of river life. The legend in action. Some abnormally tolerant deer. Layover days are probably my favorite part of rafting trips. Other sites that I dig:.

Wander & Maunder: September 2012
http://www.wanderandmaunder.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 24, 2012. After six long years of devotedly watching. Ça games on spasmodic. Webcasts, I finally got to watch a game live at the Camp Nou. Although the game against Granada was not the most vehement exhibition of attacking football I've ever seen, s. Ince I consider the Blaugrana's. Play to be a religious experience that transcends mere sport or art, for me, my visit to the Camp Nou. Was akin to a pilgrimage. Also, Xavi's 18 yard game-winning screamer wasn't too shabby either. Open; you...

Wander & Maunder: August 2012
http://www.wanderandmaunder.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 18, 2012. Wildflowers. (Thanks for tabling your masculinity, swallowing your pride, and holding these up for me, Gabe.). Anyways, the monotony of my kiosk days is occasionally, and welcomely punctured by the variety of strange characters that file through my parking queue. I can usually tell if a customer will have something interesting to say judging by how strongly their car reeks of pot. The danker the aroma, the more philosophical the customer. So I take his five, punch his parking t...

Wander & Maunder: October 2012
http://www.wanderandmaunder.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 28, 2012. Earlier this month, while scouring the web for "interesting places in Catalunya," I came across a wikipedia page entitled " Despoblados de Espa ña. Which roughly translates to depopulated places or ghost towns of Spain. There I found an abandoned town named. That seemed fairly close to Tarragona. Is a picture of the town in its former glory. The town in the center of the picture is Vilaplana, while Reus and Salou are barely visible in the top left corner. When I asked my host pa...

Wander & Maunder: Fauxhemian Grove
http://www.wanderandmaunder.com/2013/01/fauxhemian-grove.html
Monday, January 7, 2013. Perhaps because of lingering trauma from my lack of a childhood tree-house, over this winter break, my friends and I have been hard at work on a miniature, less ostentatious version of the famed Bohemian Grove – a Fauxhemian Grove, if you will. The idea behind our sequoian bolt-hole is to create an accessible, yet apart place to read, breathe, imbibe (green tea? Inhale (sun-shrouded, late-morning fog? My sister and "nail-gun" Reeves at work. There's no place like home.

Thursday, April 10, 2014. My father and Piergiorgio. One for cabinporn.com. After Italy, I took a Ryan Air flight (29 euros) to Budapest and stayed with Eli for another five days. This is the only picture I took in Hungary, though. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I started this blog a number of years ago as a way of documenting my travels and thoughts as I transitioned between adolescence and young adulthood. I am currently based in Oakland, CA. Wander & Maunder: January 2013
http://www.wanderandmaunder.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 17, 2013. For my last round of bayside shenanigans before I return to college for the spring, my sister, some friends, and I decided to pay a long overdue revisit to one of the Bay Area's best kept natural secrets. After getting up early to watch the sunrise, we spent the better part of a morning surreptitiously exploring these intricate sandstone caverns. A somewhat hazy, but still revitalizing sunrise. We were lucky enough to see at least four owls during the trip. In the last town be...

Wander & Maunder: A Venetian Excursion
http://www.wanderandmaunder.com/2014/04/a-venetian-excursion.html
Thursday, April 10, 2014. Looking out towards San Giorgio Maggiore from near San Marco. I ate at this bistro thrice in three days, for obvious reasons. Gondola on the Grand Canal. In the Venetian Ghetto. The obligatory picture of Piazza San Marco. The Ponte dell' Accademia from the pier outside the Guggenheim Collection. Love locks" on the Ponte dell' Accademia near our hotel. I wonder if "David y Vichi" are still together. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Other sites that I dig:. The Real Oakland Blog.

Wander & Maunder: Work (and Play) Continues at the Grove
http://www.wanderandmaunder.com/2013/06/work-and-play-continues-at-grove.html
Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Work (and Play) Continues at the Grove. There are two major improvements at Fauxhemian Grove. Platform #4 under construction. The possibilities! My sister takes her life into her own hands. Without "nail-gun" Reeves to give us a hand, carpentry proved a much more error-ridden process than it was before. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). All anecdotes and photographs are mine unless otherwise indicated. Please contact me before reusing any part of my blog. Thank you.
