The Rafiki orphanage, located just outside of Nairobi, Kenya, provides food, shelter, medical care, education, a safe living environment and loving support to children who have been orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Rafiki began in Central Ohio in 1995. Several Rotary clubs in the area have been involved in its development, beginning with the drilling of the water well that made possible the construction of school buildings and dormitories, as well as farming.
