http://thecrosseyedblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-prayer-request-or-two.html
The Cross Eyed Blog. Monday, July 6, 2015. A Prayer Request or Two. My blog usually includes encouraging words, a tip or two, or what I feel God is convicting me of at that time. This blog will be a little bit different. It is a couple of requests for prayer for our family this week. I would really appreciate it. Last year when we went on vacation, the kids and I thought it was funny to take a picture of her when she slept. So, she is scheduled to go in this Thursday for an outpatient surgery to have her...

The Cross Eyed Blog: Fasting Once A Month
http://thecrosseyedblog.blogspot.com/2015/06/fasting-once-month.html
The Cross Eyed Blog. Monday, June 22, 2015. Fasting Once A Month. Almost a decade ago, I went to a writer's conference in Glorieta, NM. I had felt, for more years than I can tell you, God had a call on my life to write. I was writing children's books and stories at the time, and I had gone to the conference to learn more and make connections with publishers. Not really. Sorry! I did however feel it was a huge and great act of faith and intercession to do for your kids. I mentioned the lady who fasted onc...

The Cross Eyed Blog: My New Way To Pack A Cooler
http://thecrosseyedblog.blogspot.com/2013/07/my-new-way-to-pack-cooler.html
The Cross Eyed Blog. Monday, July 15, 2013. My New Way To Pack A Cooler. I have tried for years to figure out how to keep the food which I want to keep cold out of the water in the bottom of the cooler. I'm sure you have had the same problem. You pack the cooler with your drinks and put your food on the top - lunch meats, fruit, mayonnaise, etc. Over the course of the day, however, the ice begins to melt, and your food drifts down into the water in the cooler. I was thrilled. Here is what you do. Fill yo...

http://thecrosseyedblog.blogspot.com/2012/08/cornbread-salad.html
The Cross Eyed Blog. Tuesday, August 14, 2012. I know this might sound a little odd. Cornbread and salad. Weird as it may sound, it is one of my most favorite summertime dishes. There is nothing like it for a potluck, barbeque, or a cold salad to have for lunch by the pool. Been there, done that! 1 package (8-1/2 oz) cornbread/muffin mix. 1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies, undrained. 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin. 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano. 1 cup (8 oz) sour cream. 1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix.

http://thecrosseyedblog.blogspot.com/2011/12/chex-mix.html
The Cross Eyed Blog. Monday, December 26, 2011. I remember when I was a child and my paternal grandmother would make what I call "Chex Mix". She didn't call it "Chex Mix". She called it "Trash". I think because it had everything but the kitchen sink in it. I loved hers, because it was very salty and very garlicy. 1 box Rice Chex cereal. 1 box Wheat Chex cereal. 1 box cheese crackers (I think Cheese Its are the best.). 1 box pretzel sticks. 1 one pound can of mixed nuts. 1 pound salted butter (4 sticks).

The Cross Eyed Blog. Monday, July 20, 2015. Our Family's Sick Update and A Good Reminder. You can read the blog post titled A Prayer Request Or Two here. I wanted to write tonight to give everyone an update on how we were doing. We have had many people calling, texting, messaging and praying for us. I have been so truly grateful. My doctor said I c...
