Friday, March 15, 2013. The boys are doing so wonderfully with Porter. I think it helps that he is so darn content – he hardly makes a peep unless he is hungry or gassy and even then he is so easily appeased. They were great from the start when they came to visit us at the hospital. Cooper is very attentive – he likes to feed him, cuddle with him and check on him when he makes little squeaks. . They have adjusted so well and I look forward to watching their relationship grow as they do!

Wednesday, April 3, 2013. I will admit that I felt a little heartbroken as I learned that I was having another boy. I did want to experience parenting a daughter, but there is something very special about having three boys (plus one big boy) and being the only girl in the house. I feel so sentimental when I see them together. This might just be my most favorite picture that I have ever snapped – my whole world in one picture. I get teary-eyed nearly every time I look at it. Its a great picture Lea!

Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Porter is already a month old! 160; That sure went by quickly! 160; Here are a few things I want to remember about him right now:. So darn cute – he looks more like Cooper than Brecken but really is the perfect mix of both. He has Brecken’s eyes and dimple and Cooper’s mouth and chin. . Very content – sleeps a lot still, several naps during the day and is sleeping pretty well during the night. We are up 1 – 2 times a night for feedings. Really likes the baby art cards.

Cooper and Brecken: Porter–Two Months

Monday, April 29, 2013. Porter is getting so big, so fast. Two months has him measuring 24 inches and weighing just under 13 pounds. These are a few things things marking his second month:. Cooing lots, really loves eye contact. One big dimple on his left side and a smaller one on the right. If he isn’t giving you his biggest, gummy grin then he gives you this cute little side smirk. Enjoys napping in his swing but not really the pack and play. Tolerates his bouncer and his Bumbo seat for about 5 minutes.

Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Swim lessons are a big deal for Brecken now because he gets to swim without a parent. . He loves Miss Amy and has lessons at the same time as Cooper so that makes things convenient for us. Cooper is working on fine tuning some of this skills like floating for longer periods and breathing in between strokes. Now, time to put these lessons to good use this summer!
