In the Land of us. Friday, December 2, 2011. New York, Part 8: Staten Island Ferry. We decided to head down to the harbor to see the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. My cousin suggested riding the Staten Island Ferry. It was free, took about an hour, and drove us right by Lady Liberty. In the Land of us. Thursday, June 30, 2011. A Trip to Athens, TX. Graemma, Mikaela, and I went to Athens, TX for a couple of days to visit Graempa. He was able to take Mikaela to campus and show her off to his co-workers. She charmed them all by shaking hands with everyone she met. This was Mikaela's first experience with it, but the adults had a blast creating 3D, tie-dye, and other original creations. Getting ready to dunk the egg. In the Land of us. Saturday, December 3, 2011. New York, Part 10: Macy's. Friday evening we met up with our friends at the 34th street Macy's. They aren't kidding when they say it's the largest department store. We went on all 9 floors of this place, just on the Broadway side. We never even made it to the 7th street side. It was all decorated for Christmas and very crowded. It was a popular stop for Black Friday shoppers, of course. CNN news interview outside the store. Express Train to Santa.

In the Land of us. Sunday, July 31, 2011. Tonight before getting ready for bed, Mikaela was asked to pick up her toys, as usual. She was extra tired so this was a little more of a chore than normal.
