The Gospel According to Alyssa: aesthetics
http://thegospelaccordingtoalyssa.blogspot.com/2010/07/aesthetics.html
Thursday, July 8, 2010. Sometimes we fall down and can't get back up. Were hiding behind a skin that's too tough". Haiti is a beautiful place if you know how to look at it. You have to be able to see past the the trash and the rubble. Smell past the garbage and the rot. Feel past the rocks in your shoes and your own discomfort. You need to able to feel the music and the voices. Smell the food and the trees in the air. You have to be able to see the colors and the people. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Love turns your head around. Only love could provoke such a statement like this one. What else could turn your head around? You look to see where the noise came form or what made the noise but I think that this goes deeper than that. It says turn your head around not just turn your head. Love can pull you out of all sorts of things. Love can conquer fear and hate. Inconvience and anger. Love changes the way that you see and the way that you think. Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Life ...

Living The Life That God Has For Us. Monday, April 28, 2014. I Dare You - Invest With Me. I dare you to invest in humanity with me. To close your eyes and see. See with me a place where others have the resources to provide for their children. Where fathers have ways to express talent. See a place where idle hands find fulfilment. Help create a place to extravagantly dare to invent in humanity without a threat of the bottom-line. Those crushing numbers squeezing out hope. Usher in a new generation. Thank ...

The Gospel According to Alyssa: Revisting
http://thegospelaccordingtoalyssa.blogspot.com/2011/02/revisting.html
Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.". Which is something that has stuck with me since the first time I read it. It is in the story of the prostitute that washed Jesus' feet. I love that story. The verse reminds me to forgive peopleand love people. No matter what. So I wrote it on my shoes as a reminder. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Acworth, GA, United States.

God's Plumbline Ministries: August 2015
http://godsplumblineministries.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Living The Life That God Has For Us. Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Candy seemed like a good idea. This was Oct. 2000 in. She didn't say a peep, ever. Her hair seemed red, a sign of severe malnutrition we would learn much later. For some strange reason it seems like a good idea to bring huge bags of suckers for the kids.
