April 11, 2014. Photos, Computers and Friends. Today I wanted to share some highlights of what life has been like lately. And by that I mean these past 8 months. A while back I shared pictures of our town taken by our students. Below is an image of the final exhibition of the photography course. Everyone was pretty excited to find their photos. I have more to share, but don’t want to bore you all to death! So we’ll leave this little recap here, sending lots of love to those near and far! April 11, 2014.

Mara’s baby dedication. By Jen & LaMont Steiner. April 27, 2014. On Sunday, April 13, Mara was dedicated at Olive Mennonite Church. The purpose of the dedication service was to praise God for the blessing of Mara in our lives and to give our congregation the opportunity to offer support, prayers, and partnership in raising her. Several of our family members made the drive from various parts of Ohio, Indiana and Illinois to be there for the event. One thought on “ Mara’s baby dedication. Thanks for lettin...

Mara Rose: Five months | Steiner Stories
https://jlsteiner.wordpress.com/2014/06/23/mara-rose-five-months
Mara Rose: Five months. By Jen & LaMont Steiner. June 23, 2014. A little over 17 lbs. Not sure since we didn’t have a check-up this month. She’s wearing 3-6 month/6 month clothing and size 2 diapers. Some things are starting to get small though, so I think it’s time to bring out some 6-9 month clothes. Mara Moo, Boo Boo. Still eating strictly breast milk. Around six months we’ll start with some rice cereal and transition into trying solids, but she seems content for now. This was a big month for Mara!

Warm Hearts and Big Smiles | Nalena and Jon

May 17, 2014. Warm Hearts and Big Smiles. I recently read an article about those whose life doesn’t go exactly as planned, but in the end the deviation from the plan brought more joy than they could have ever imagined or hoped for. The message couldn’t have ringed truer for me. Doing the Peace Corps was something I always dreamed about since learning about it in high school (or was it middle school? Four years after the planning and discussing began, and the longest application known to man, here we are ...

Mara Rose: Three Months | Steiner Stories
https://jlsteiner.wordpress.com/2014/04/23/mara-rose-three-months
Mara Rose: Three Months. By Jen & LaMont Steiner. April 23, 2014. Last Tuesday she weighed 12 lbs., 11.5 oz. She’s definitely over 13 lbs. now! We didn’t have a check-up this month, but it sure seems like she’s gotten longer. She’s still wearing mostly 0-3 month or 3 month clothing, but some things are starting to get too small/short. She’s currently wearing size 1 diapers, but we’ll probably be moving up to size 2 very soon. Miss Mara, Baby Girl. Mara had a breakthrough around 9-10 weeks. Yay! On Sunday...
