Landon places in UIL event. February 4, 2012. Landon was chosen to represent his school in a couple of UIL events. Today was the day and he placed in both events! He got 6th place in Ready Writing and 5th place in Spelling. Whew! We have been studying those 800 spelling words for several weeks now! He wished for first or second place, but said “it was an honor to be asked to participate” as we walked out to the car. That sounds vaguely like an Academy Awards speech…. October 3, 2011. Friday morning we witnessed a glorious sunrise. It was a hectic, busy morning getting everyone ready for school. Kevin called and told us to go outside to see the sunrise. We really didn’t have time, but I’m so glad we did! It stopped us in our tracks and we gazed at the beauty God graced our skies with that AM. Monthly Archives: November 2011. November 15, 2011. Who wants to sit still once she realizes she can move forward? Well, Julie got a taste of that today. She wanted to grab the dog’s tail so badly, so she used her knees and her head and got moving! She moved all over the bed and almost went overboard a couple of times.
