I spend the afternoon exploring Concord and buying needed supplies after which Brian took us to the Minute Man National Historical Park and Thoreau's Walden pond. Walking the Concord neighborhood. Statue at the North Bridge near Concord. Walden Pond where Thoreau lived in a small cabin for 2 years, 2 months, and 2 days. Thank you Lucy and Brian. We loved our stay. Just what the doctor would order for me. A Bar Harbor View.

Bike Touring on the East Coast. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Lakeville to Windsor Locks. It was 59 miles from Lakeville to Windsor Locks with about 3,500 feet of gain through mostly quiet country roads in dense woodlands with lots of steep climbs. I'm still under the weather (cough, cough) but rode a little better today. Gnats are becoming a problem when we stop in the countryside unless there's a breeze. We all wish we had more time to spend at Wake Robin Inn. This church is now a glass shop. A Bar Harbor View.
