Going Back to the Forest. Monthly Archives: June 2014. June 25, 2014. Sif and Emen’s Families. Emen and Embong didn’t seem to pay any special attention to the Team’s presence and sat idly watching Sifa throwing vegetation at the Team. The mothers Sif and Emen, meanwhile, sat eating fruit together. Emen appeared to eat Sif’s choice of food and when the group moved on, Emen followed Sif. It was great to see the two families healthy and spending time together. Slamet, Miss Owen and the bees. June 5, 2014.

Garu is already adventurous and brave enough to play as far as 10 meters away from her mother. The two little families tended to hide among the dense foliage of the tall trees when the Monitoring team was trying to observe them. Clearly they dislike human presence and they are behaving as wild and independent o...

Many mainstream brands of peanut butter use palm oil as an emulsifier. This is done because the oil from nuts and seeds naturally separates. Monthly Archives: June 2014. Orangutan Progress in Kehje Sewen! June 16, 2014. Leke holds a respected place amongst the orangutans in Kehje Sewen. When Casey and Yayang tried to aggravate her, Leke stood her ground and the duo retreated. Maybe that was the reason why Leke no longer joined Yayang and Sayang during fruit feeding sessions. Leke seems to be getting to know Kehje Sewen more each day. She is skillful in foraging for food and building nests. Mother and Daughter Yayang-Sayang. Sp, figs etc.

A father’s thoughts. Moments in my life. A Nation’s Birthday And My Disenchantment. Bull;August 10, 2008 • 10 Comments. Two momentous events – the Beijing Olympics and our nation’s 43rd birthday – occurred over the weekend. As usual, our mainstream media were filled with feel-good articles and especially for Singapore’s 43rd birthday, patriotic write-ups extolling the many remarkable achievements of our nation since Independence. At the factory where I worked, you get to see the elderly struggling to cop...
