My thoughts, my collections, my creations. Words are more than merely words, for they are what we feel every day. Tracie. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Small town - Big town. Two kindergartens, 4 primary (1-3), 4 intermediate (4-6) and 2 Jr. High's. That is just our school district. That doesn't count the TWO high schools that are also contained in our town! Can you imagine for a moment if you're from the 70s and 80s how not only small the schools were but that kids from different towns came to it! Before...

My thoughts, my collections, my creations. Words are more than merely words, for they are what we feel every day. Tracie. Sunday, November 23, 2008. Walk with me if you will, to a time when life was much simpler, kids roamed the streets and were never given a second look. A time when hanging out was accepted and the company was mixed. The term. What has gotten worse? Where has society gone astray? Why are kids today more spoiled than when we were growing up? And no one wishes to hear the truths as to wha...

My thoughts, my collections, my creations. Words are more than merely words, for they are what we feel every day. Tracie. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. The wonder of it all. Today was a very special day for myself as well as my family. We were not only baptized in Christ, something I have been longing to do for quite some time, but from what I am to understand, the first entire family to be baptized at our church! What an amazing thing! I know I can't! I also know that yes I have changed over the last 3 ...

Sunday, May 28, 2006. That gorgeous little bundle from my husband had an amazing necklace in it. So beautiful. So meaningful. So appropriate, as we (I say we because there are so many wonderful people helping me) launch this new line of bird stamps. I especially am touched by the secret message stamped onto the back of the frame: Dreams all rise to decorate the sky. Thank you, Scott. For procuring this piece of loveliness for me. And thank you, Nina. You can read more about the piece on Nina's blog.

Life Reflections: April 2014

Tuesday, April 29, 2014. The Lazarus Experiment Day 10. For most of us, the Lazarus account is a very profound analogy of our new lives in Christ Jesus. Hardly any of us have really been brought back to life after four days of being dead. (If you have, I'd like to come and talk to you! I know I haven't. So I can only begin to imagine Lazarus' reactions and emotions. How did he feel when he heard his name? What was his reaction to being loosed from the strips of cloth that held him tight? That look is pow...

Wednesday, April 18, 2012. With the Faith of a Child. Have you ever noticed how children are just accepting? Matthew 18:2-4 says, "2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.". Does that mean we don't have an obligation to make good choices? I have to la...

Friday, March 29, 2013. Up and Around Again. Today was my first day out of bed for most of the day. I had surgery on Tuesday and have been sleeping quite a bit. I am happy to be up and about more today. I even sat at my dining room table and worked on one if my albums today. I have been wanting to finish the album. From our youth mission trip last summer. We went to Warfield, Kentucky to make homes warmer, safer, and drier as part of A.S.P. (Appalachia Service Project). Learn more about it here. It was a...
