Going Home to a Foreign Country: Goodbye Virginia, Hello Kentucky!
http://goinghometoaforgeincountry.blogspot.com/2009/11/goodbye-virginia-hello-kentucky.html
Tuesday, November 10, 2009. Goodbye Virginia, Hello Kentucky! We left our cousins house and visited Mum's long time friends, the wonderful VanBuskirks. Who not only send us money every month (my parents are missionaries) but also fixed us pancakes and bought us donunts during our visit. On the way Cousin S took us to Shirley Plantation. Which was beautiful. It was full of really great stories like the Carter girls would test their engagement diamonds by carving their initials in the windows. Staying with...
Going Home to a Foreign Country: October 2009
http://goinghometoaforgeincountry.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 29, 2009. I'm R Robyn.and I'm culturally confused. I'm half American and half Irish, well about half and half. My Mum is from the States and my Dad is Irish, a Dubliner born and raised. I was born in Ireland but lived in the US till I turned six and we moved back. I've lived in Ireland ever since. I'll never be fully Irish but you can't call me American either; so I'm culutrally confused. I don't mind, it's kind of fun. This blog isn't to tell you my life story, only a chapter of it.

Going Home to a Foreign Country: Virginian Cousins
http://goinghometoaforgeincountry.blogspot.com/2009/11/virginian-cousins.html
Thursday, November 5, 2009. This is my third night in Virgina. I flew through Boston on my way and the skyline was lovely with the clock tower all lit up. The moon was a shining pearl in the sky. There was Ez, Caleb and Eli, all of whom were about four. Not much culture shock yet.just that there're people who bag your groceries for you and take them to your car for a tip; it's surprising how weird that felt. There was a lady in a shop who told me that she had Irish cousins who live north of Donegal!

Homestead Instead « Ditching the cubicle for the kids.
Ditching the cubicle for the kids. On Gray Hairs and Disney World. I found my first gray hair today. Hard to believe he’s only a handful of weeks away from his first birthday. I held it between my fingers for a bit, twisting it this way and that, holding it against the sunlight as we rode along. Could I really have gray hair? Then I realized: I’m not only. Anything anymore. I’m not only. Twenty-something. I’m not only. Thirty. I’m in. How did this happen? How do I stop it? The single strand of gray hair?

Going Home Stories
Children's books that provide guidance on the winding road of childhood. Children's books that provide guidance on the winding road of childhood. Fun, but tough at times. There are so many distractions, so many outside influences that sometimes seem to grab the parenting steering wheel. Fort Worth / Los Angeles.
The Great Mundane
Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Maximum Morrissey and the Smiths. A truly abysmal cover. Almost looks like something Morrissey himself would put together in 2016. Saturday, September 3, 2016. Early BBC Sessions 1979-1985 IV. By this point, Robert Smith was pushing towards the pop of The Head on the Door. Even if it took getting through The Top. To get there. Just One Kiss. Still has a bit of the atmosphere left over from the "gothic" trilogy, perhaps moreso than the studio version on Japanese Whispers. Benef...

Going Home to India | a five month journey in chennai
Going Home to India. A five month journey in chennai. To chennai, with love. 24 December, 2007 by ladyinpinkLDN. I am home. I am in heaven: I can walk on carpets, take hottt showers and use good hair products and brushes. I can rejoice in roast dinners, marvel at my Christmas tree, and sleep on a wondrously thick mattress. I can feel the peace and quiet, turn up my bass speakers, and hear the sweet laughter of my family. I took lessons in selflessness from handicraft shop owners, who followed me around t...
