Hope for help from a watercat soon)! Anyway for my third ride on TFE's big bus I figured on a Haiku. I have no previous on this Japanese form but will give it a go. This weeks prompt was to shut your eye's and breath, a bit like my first ride on the bus! I breath you in. Your smell intermingles with memory. In th...

A blog about the life and loves of a rural retained firefighter, to include all the juicy bits! Sunday, May 31, 2009. This week the words to be used were : Parasite, meals on wheels, crows, it's my fault, everything but the kitchen sink,on sale, patriotism, the love of my life, library card, common sence, blackmail,California, stethoscope, postage, crank. What kind of parasite. Around his neck. Boyle eyed the two up and down, the son in tears blubbering "it's my fault,I know it is! The victim knew his attacker!

Life on the wrong side of the tracks. Thursday, June 25, 2009. Today's visit was before noon. Marie was initially asleep, but the nurses came in to move her up higher in the bed (the bed which was set to about 30 degrees - I have given up on pointing out the sign on the wall. At this stage I must assume that either the doctor has changed his mind or most of the staff are incompetent.). Apparently Marie had only managed to correctly answer 11 out of 16 questions. Tinkle, tinkle, little star.". So she fail...

Healing Ourselves, Our Families, Our World. Laquo; How to make two years fly by. Hooked, aka my first week as a Montessori teacher. August 5, 2008. Little boy with a cold:. 8220;Ms. L, can I tell you something? Squatting to the child’s eye level): “What do you want to tell me, Johnny? Saliva and mucus, right in my eye) “I love you.”. Nah, you think? Oh, and did I mention I was addicted to Starbucks soy chais (yes, the ubber-sweet drink with 40 grams of immune system-depressing, bacteria-feeding sugar!

Walk on.and forget. Friday, November 30, 2007. Seen on a bill-board in Leeds. An image of a couple embracing on a couch. When you find something that feels good, hang on to it! The product: a cell phone! Much to ponder here, not least of which is the dodgy personal relationship advice. In the marketing world it's worth pondering upon, in terms of wisdom, the thinking behind RED. John Humphrys in Beyond Words, How Language Reveals the Way We Live Now. On RED Products pages 64 and 65. A hat tip to my hosts...

Life on the wrong side of the tracks. Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Conservative hypocrisy on election fraud. This past week has seen the unfolding of the robocall story, in which it is alleged that the Conservative Party of Canada or someone acting on the behalf of the Conservative Party paid for automated phone calls to be made on election day 2011 to mislead voters to incorrect polling stations. The calls claimed to be from Elections Canada. From Stephen Harper's lies about the Cadman affair to Bev Oda'...

Life on the wrong side of the tracks. Tuesday, May 21, 2013. This blog was interrupted by a round of shingles. Then an accidental community garden. Festival, and then a school year. And throughout it all there were the trials and tribulations of working with a volunteer board of varying degrees of competence and self-interest. We are back, and crankier than ever. Saturday was the main planting day for the temporary community garden on the site where the Mount Royal Hotel used to stand. Because the site h...

Life on the wrong side of the tracks. Monday, January 3, 2011. Lately I have become aware. Of the many essay-writing services available online. A few suspiciously fluent papers submitted by my students had me trolling the web for possible sources. That they will not sell you, the student, a plagiarized. They are telling the buyer they won't get caught. Here is the opening sentence. Of a term paper sample. Over the years the evolution of the structure and functions of the family have. Umm So the main noun.

Life on the wrong side of the tracks. Thursday, August 6, 2009. The family/care team meeting went well. Yes, there was tension over some of the things that have gone wrong. And the patient was very clear about feeling threatened by the staff. We are almost all agreed that she needs to get out of the acute care bed. The only person who disagrees is the patient herself. She feels she should stay until she can get out of bed by herself. I have sympathy with that, even if I disagree. View my complete profile.
