It is interesting to think about this in terms of public history and the significance of material culture. For historians, nothing will ever be as good as the original, but perhaps the familiarity of these devices, in addition to the many other benefits, will eventually outweigh certain concerns. Thinking About History For and With the Public. Reflections on a Semester. Hopefully, the end result of our efforts this semester will be the implementation of our marketing plan, resulting in an increase in faculty and staff attendance at LUMA. In addition, we hope that the compilation of artifact videos and digital exhibits will help enrich the physical exhibit at LUMA and the larger Jesuit restoration celebration.
