Going to Peru- how about you? Monday, January 5, 2009. On this first day of the first month of a new year, it seems appropriate to take a moment to reflect on all of the firsts I've experienced since coming to Peru. Since September 12, 2008:. I've had my first bite of goat, beef heart, cow stomach, black sea scallop, granadilla, maracuya, aji, rocoto, Sublime, and ceviche. I rode in my first combi, mototaxi, bus-cama, and car trunk (sans seats). I had my first experience in black market clothing design.

Jared and Teresa are Going to Papua! Monday, February 25, 2013. News on Becca, Jared, and Home. While I was in the states, Jared came down with dengue fever, a serious mosquito-borne illness. I'm very happy to say that he is back to his normal, soccer-playing self. Many people have weeks to months (occasionally years) of complications after dengue. We are so thankful that Jared doesn't seem to have any of those! Yesterday was a monumental day at home as we finally had water PRESSURE! What were they up to?
