Camping and Recreation Page. Jan and I don't do nearly as much camping as we used to since we moved to the ranch on Super Bowl Sunday, 1999. We do still like to get away though and we occasionally have some of our friends come up to the ranch and "camp.". New Years 2001 Campsite. Memorial Day "Group Camping" at GoldDigger Ranch. This is a group of buddies that came up Memorial Day weekend 2001 to camp out at the GoldDigger. Here are the group members that came up. To pictures of the petroglyphs we found.

In April of 2006 after John retired, we bought a Valiant 40 to keep John busy in case the ranch wasn't enough. New Boat anchored in Richardson Bay. This is the first time that John spent the night on the boat when it was not tied up at the slip. Richardson Bay is the bay off Sausalito where the boat was berthed at the time, so this was not a long journey, but those will be coming. Pictures from the 2008 Singlehanded Transpac Race. Here is Dream Chaser entering and anchored in Hanalei Bay.

In February of 2009 we were camping in the desert in our cabover camper. We were to be gone a month and so spent more time "inside" than we ever had before and got a little tired of turning sideways to pass each other while stepping over the dog. Sooooo, we went into Quartzsite to kill time looking at motorhomes. Oooooppppppssssss. This is what we got "killing time" parked at Cedar Grove in Sequoia National Park.
