Taking a closer look at God's gifts. Taking a closer look at God's gifts. Tuesday, August 9, 2011. My children are grown, I'm retired from my "paying" job, and there are days I'm sure I'll never see my work in print again. Maybe this flower bloomed unseen alongside hundreds of others and I would never have noticed it in the crowd. It's likely I'm the only hu...

Taking a closer look at God's gifts. Taking a closer look at God's gifts. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. There are few things in nature as common (or prolific) as the dandelion. Although most of us spend a lot of time yanking them out of our lawns, they're really quite beautiful where they bloom wild and free. A field of yellow dandelions blooming midst the fresh, green, springtime wash of new leaves, grass, and other plant life is downright cheerful. See you along the trail. Deborah D. Harper.

Taking a closer look at God's gifts. Taking a closer look at God's gifts. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Life in Alaska brings many surprises. Some are as magnificent as snowcapped mountain peaks, earthquakes, or erupting volcanoes. Others are as common as delicate wildflowers, the sight of a bald eagle high overhead as it loops in lazy circles on invisible wind currents, a mama moose and her babies out for a stroll and a little grass-grazing, or a pair of bull mooses duking it out along side the road. And no, ...

My journey writing for, about, and with the Lord. Thursday, September 5, 2013. Aside from glorifying God with our work, a Christian writer's greatest dream is to finally hold that hard-earned, slaved-over, finally-published book in his or her hands. Sadly, one of our fellow authors from Hartline Literary Agency, Dianne Price, never had that chance. She died just one week before. The first book of her World War II series, was published by Ashberry Lane. Dianne (and her book) are now in God's Hands. Deetra...

Deborah Deetales: The Only Thing We Have to Fear is... Getting It All Wrong

My journey writing for, about, and with the Lord. Monday, June 22, 2015. The Only Thing We Have to Fear is. Getting It All Wrong. I know many of you long for the freedom (uh. nope), ease (yeah, right), and wealth (hahahaha) of all writers everywhere, and think the life of said writer is one long session of retiring to our garrets, drinking copious amounts of coffee and other caffeine-laden drinks, staring out the window at the scenery beyond, and making things up.
