Each had his established role in the group, and each had his best buddy in the herd. It was this very effort to do everything possible to keep the horses HORSES, instead forcing them to adapt to our brutish yank-and-pull way of getting things done with them, that had instilled a great calm and confidence between the Mob and their humans.
