With an increasing pressure on resources and sustainability the use of water has never been more important. Here at East Berkshire there is irrigation to the greens, approaches and tees. In general it is better to soak the greens heavily once or twice a week rather than apply water each night as this encourages a strong root develop...

East Berkshire Greens Blog. Monthly Archives: February 2014. February 19, 2014. Last Friday night Southern England was hit with strong winds and here at East Berks was no exception. We lost in total 15 trees around the course. The greens staff have spent the past 4 days. Cutting fallen trees and removing them from the course as much as possible. A couple more trees have fallen since Sunday morning so please take extra care around the course. East Berkshire G.C. Golf Course Architecture Magazine.

The long rough areas around the course have had an application of Rescue applied. This is a selective herbicide which targets the thicker more aggressive grasses leaving the finer desirable fescues and native wild flowers.
