A cross-county biking adventure on the TransAmerica Bike Route. Sunday, September 11, 2011. Thursday, September, 8. We woke up at the Bike Inn to roosters crowing and ducks clucking. We looked out the window and saw that there were tons of animals in the backyard! Ducks, chickens, billygoats, cats. We rode for what seems like forever to the next town, Dayville. We were mentally unmotivated and stayed at the general store there for over an hour, drinking redbull and eating candy bars. Day 66: The Finale.

A cross-county biking adventure on the TransAmerica Bike Route. Thursday, September 8, 2011. Wednesday, September 7. Unity to Mount Vernon, OR. We did the usual cyclist meeting stuff: compare routes, share stories about the wind, ect. They told us about a bicyclist only place to stay in Mount Vernon, which seemed pretty awesome so we thought we would try to stay there, about 60 miles away. The green sign in the background is the summit sign. Hydrating at the top! We were so happy to be back among trees!
