April 17, 2006 at 10:49 am Posted in Cooking. Michael and I had a large number of his family over last night for dinner and a bit of a catch up. We all decided that it was going to be far easier to order dinner, however, there was still the interim between arrival and actual dinner time. So we bought some nice cheeses and wine so that we could all sit out on our suprisingly massive balcony and chat. I also made up some Bruschetta. Ripe roma tomatoes, diced finely. Plenty of fresh basil, shredded finely.

We have started a bit of a tradition over the past year where each time he is in Sydney, we catch up for dinner at a nice restaurant. Last time he was down, we went to Buon Ricordo. Some fresh squeezed lime juice to taste. Let the broth boil up so that the flavours mix through. Add about half a butternut pumpkin (depending how big it is…) peeled and chopped into smallish pieces.
