Good Samaritan Free Clinic: Embodying the Good Samaritan example. Good Samaritan Clinic of Jackson County was founded in 2001 to fill a critical healthcare gap. A faith-based nonprofit, we embrace the Good Samaritan parable. The Good Samaritan didn’t just help in a crisis he invested in long-term healing and recovery. This man gave up his own ride to carry the injured man, took him to an inn, and cared for him. Then he promised to follow up, and paid for expenses incurred. We served more than 600 patients.
