Growing Old Without Dignity. The diary of a middle-aged punk. Saturday, 28 April 2007. And temper tantrums on mountainsides. Seem to be a thing of the past. Most people think of ribbons and bells and maypoles when they think of Morris Dancing. This may be the form known as Cotswold Morris, although I'm not sure about the bells. The sort I'm into is Border Morris. My first experience of Border Morris was seeing the Flag Crackers. I have a profile. They practised various others, including one called The Bl...

Growing Old Without Dignity: February 2007
http://punky-rennie.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Growing Old Without Dignity. The diary of a middle-aged punk. Saturday, 24 February 2007. Bobbie, Drunkeness, the Buzzcocks and Boredom. I got very drunk two weeks ago today but I didn't end up being sick or having to be brought home. It did mean, however, that I was hungover the next day and the hangover persisted until well into the evening. I went to see the Buzzcocks in Preston that night and I wouldn't recommend going to a gig with a hangover. It spoils it. Ever fallen in love. They played most of t...

http://punky-rennie.blogspot.com/2007/06/middlewich-folk-and-boat-festival_24.html
Growing Old Without Dignity. The diary of a middle-aged punk. Sunday, 24 June 2007. Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival, Sunday. On Sunday, I got up feeling remarkably fresh considering I had not slept particularly well. I went to the shower block and had a shower, using only Simple Face Wash. I had come particularly badly prepared. The showers are communal and it was a bit like being back at school. I'm not particularly embarrassed about my body but I think I would have preferred cubicles. After that, we ...

Growing Old Without Dignity: May 2007
http://punky-rennie.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Growing Old Without Dignity. The diary of a middle-aged punk. Sunday, 27 May 2007. Tulips from Amsterdam - Sunday. We went to have a coffee in a cafe and sat outside. Sammy had something to eat - a basket of chips - and because she has such a small appetite, I had to help her. While we were sat there, a police car drew up and I felt compelled to take a picture for my husband, as I knew it would be of professional interest to him. Action figure of Sigmund Freud. Growing Old Without Dignity: Talking Machines and Mad Scientists
http://punky-rennie.blogspot.com/2007/07/talking-machines-and-mad-scientists.html
Growing Old Without Dignity. The diary of a middle-aged punk. Thursday, 12 July 2007. Talking Machines and Mad Scientists. I think this thing goes back a fair few years for me. I've had a horror of human bits being transplanted into machines for some time now. There is a science fiction novel I read years ago called Karma. Where the daleks transplant a man's head into a new super-dalek. That made me jump too. I even find Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends mildly distasteful. And said "Going up! In a frie...
