I love stop-frame particularly (that’s Wallace and Gromit-style puppetry) and I managed to spend a very happy three months last summer on the Bristol Animation Course. Has been accepted for showing at the Bristol Animated Encounters film festival. I’ve loved puppet animation ever since I saw the pipe-cleaner folk in the much-missed Oliver Postgate’s Pogles’ Wood. Now we’ve got Wallace and Gromit and Tim Burton, but, no matter how sophisticated the animation gets, there’s nothing to beat making three-dimensional puppets come to shaky life.
