The Irascible Ryans- Fighting Irish. Perhaps we're irascible, but we're not irrationally irascible, and that makes all the difference. Hixson Habitude: August 2014
http://lizhixsonhabitude.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Good things to come. The first weekend of August, we took the opportunity to visit David's mom down south. While there Lucy's great-grandma C. gave her a bouncy ball, which Lucy discovered she enjoyed very much. Since coming home, we have spent quite a bit of time playing with it. It's a way of helping her use up some energy while using very little yourself. On Sundays I try to capture a picture of Lucy in her dresses, and these are a couple. One family in our ward invited us ...

Hixson Habitude: Donna's wedding
http://lizhixsonhabitude.blogspot.com/2014/10/donna-wedding.html
Thursday, October 23, 2014. My sister Donna was getting married and it was going to take place in Idaho. Of course, I love any excuse to visit my family, but I was definitely excited for this trip. On the other hand, it would be the first time traveling with a newborn and nursing was going to lengthen our drive quite a bit. Can't always get a happy picture. Evidently I caught David while he was stretching his neck. Me and the lovely bride. And we were then photo bombed by my sister Lora. In addition to t...

Hixson Habitude: February 2013
http://lizhixsonhabitude.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 14, 2013. On Christmas Eve, David had to work, but I spent most of it with his siblings by visiting the auto museum. There, I saw some pretty familiar cars. I saw the green one and couldn't help remembering the one my family owned way back when. I don't know whether it's the exact same model or not. What did we use to call it? Lucy started in the carrier, but that lasted about five minutes. This one should bring an image of Michael J. Fox and his wacky scientist companion to mind.

Hixson Habitude: April 2014

Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Order Up for Baby #2. It's definitely time for a little updating. Though a lot of things have happened this month, there is one thing whose impact is greater than all of them put together. So far, these are the only two photos I have of the new addition to our small family. They were taken when I was almost 10 weeks. Now I'm at 16 weeks, so I can imagine it's grown since then. I realized I never mentioned the due date on here: September 20th. We will reach the halfway mark in ...

Hixson Habitude: July 2013
http://lizhixsonhabitude.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 24, 2013. One thing after another. We've been enjoying our new home for several months now, making improvements such as ceiling fans in all the bedrooms upstairs, spraying insulation in the attic, a ceiling fan downstairs (which also takes care of the lighting problem. Why do home builders think it's ok to leave large rooms in the dark? David after spraying insulation in the attic. Out of all the teams Stockton Thunder would be playing against that weekend, it had to be Boise Steelheads.

Hixson Habitude: January 2014
http://lizhixsonhabitude.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 14, 2014. More and more, Lucy has been unveiling her personality to us. One thing to note is she is very happy and giggly. And more often than not, her giggles turn to squeals. Sometimes I wonder how our dog's ears handle it when it is already too high-pitched for us humans. These days, she watches tv with us and will pretend to laugh whenever we find something funny. Sometimes it will just be because it's a sitcom and people are laughing on the show. Sometimes it seems she's intent on m...
