NICK EMILY HARRISON and AVERY. Wednesday, November 9, 2011. I am a sucker for Halloween activities. I love to take Harrison and Avery to do fun stuff like this. We went to the Barnyard Boo down at Thanksgiving point and it was super fun for the kids. Of course we did a little face painting. Avery practicing her hula hoop skills! NICK EMILY HARRISON and AVERY. Sunday, October 17, 2010. We had a little neighborhood Halloween party for the kids in our ward. I love his pirate costume, but I don't love keeping track of a hat, a bandanna. A sword, a hook, and pirate coins. Good thing we didn't get him the peg leg he begged me for, I don't have enough hands to carry all his props. Nick found Avery's costume. It's so cute so I have to give him the credit. Brett Molly Halle Camry Carter. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. We had Brett and Halle's birthday last month. Birthdays are always hard right after Christmas. This year I thought I would be a good mom and make some birthday cakes. Brett's was a success. His favorite food is a hamburger so why not make a hamburger cake. Thursday, August 1, 2013. This summer it rained a lot. Which is great because it kept the gnats away. However, 21 days in a row of rain can be a major pain! Luckily it only rained in the afternoons and mornings were devoted to play. All summer, David and his bf Brayden would play to their hearts content! I love that they are able to go outside and we don't have to worry about them getting snatched up. One of the benefits of living on a small base. You know everyone on your street. Fun at the splash pad.

Wednesday, November 23, 2011. The other day, I was a bit upset with Billy and speaking rather loudly to him. David pipes up from his little corner where he was playing with his cars, "Mommy, I know how to make you happy. I will dust your room for you! He proceeded to get up, got the duster and started dusting. I laughed. It definitely made me feel better and took the wind out of my sails. I'm sure Billy was grateful, too. Sunday, June 19, 2011. My biggest worry is the school system there. David will be starting school and the education isn't quite up to par according to all the reviews. Then there's the whole segregation issue that still exists in parts of the city. Oh, and did I mention alligators? One guy was telling us that the last time he was there, there were alligators living in one of the lakes on base! Definitely not letting David anywhere near lakes or swamps. So, when does the move occur? I'm so proud of you!
