Are We There Yet? More travels around the U.S. Monday, December 8, 2014. Another day, another kind of park. We pulled into Orlando on Friday night and met up with my brother. It's been a long, long time since we've seen each other. He's been in Florida since 2010, and our paths have not crossed since then. He works at Universal and got us into the Portofino Bay hotel and gave us park tickets. THANK YOU, BROTHER! My brother is one of two people I know (and am related to! As always, thanks for reading!

I bet you thought I was done blogging for good since there are no more cross country trips looming. I did do a quick trip to Southern California in October (2013! It’s been that long! For the Mt Sac Cross Country Invite. Yeah, that same meet that my dear son participated in for three years. Even though he’s off to college and cross country running is the last thing on his mind, I do miss it. Elk Grove, CA.

If your name is Matthew, you would especially love this park - it has all the things a Matthew needs for a great vacation. A long boat ride. Snorkeling. Lots of fun facts about guns and cannons in the 1800's. We spent the morning wandering around the island and soaking up the beautiful colors. The water was so clear. And pretty warm too.
