Thursday, April 08, 2010. Thanks to my dear hubby's birthday gift of a mixer two years ago, I have enjoyed making homemade bread. Here's the recipe I use (sometimes I substitute a few cups of white flour, if I'm feeling generous to my husband - he prefers some white flour in the mix). 7 cups whole wheat flour. 2 1/2 Tbsp. yeast.

The recipe called for turkey but I used chicken and it was just fine. 1 large onion, finely chopped. 3 cups diced small red potatoes. 2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each. 2 cups cooked cubed turkey breast. 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed.

Penny for my thoughts. Not a born juggler. There is is a large denomination one mile from our home that has a vast array of community-welcoming activities. On some of these, I have mixed feelings about how much it meets a spiritual need. But there are many others that I believe serve a useful purpose for drawing the hearts in this town. However, like juggling that many children back and forth three nights a week to various activities. I am just not that. Hey, at least Baby J can buckle his own seat belt ...
