http://www.virginiatropics.com/2007/09/zone-7-gotta-have-hibiscus.html
Sunday, September 16, 2007. There is perhaps no flower that conjures images of the tropics than the flower of a Hibiscus! These great flowering plants are hybrids of North American natives such as the Rose Mallow (. If there is a downside to these great plants, it's that they can be hard to find, t...

As in these impatiens. The crisp, coolness of WHITE. Or the eye-catching color of RED? And finally, the soothing color of PURPLE. A Work in Progress.

Virginia Tropics: Yuccas
http://www.virginiatropics.com/2009/07/yuccas.html
Thursday, July 30, 2009. While the sight of a yucca may conjure up visions of a dry desert landscape, far from the tropical landscapes bananas bring to mind, they are terrific plants for a tropical garden! After flowering, I prefer to let the stems on my yuccas dry completely before removing to minimize stress on the plant. Trim away dead leafs if desired, and leave uncovered in the winter to enjoy the look of a desert snow! July 30, 2009 at 9:32 PM. From a fellow tropicalesque gardener!

The wall is almost complete ...
