Hiking in Wicklow: Exploring Ireland's Longest Glacial Valley | GKM
http://gottakeepmovin.com/hiking-in-wicklow-glenmalure-ireland
Hiking in Wicklow: Exploring Ireland’s Longest Glacial Valley. About half way through the hiking trail, I came to a clearing and looked down across the valley. On the hill opposite me there was a waterfall not the kind that cascades over the edge of a cliff, but one that streams down through the cracks of a mountain. I was on a hiking trail around Glenmalure Valley in Wicklow Mountains National Park. Just south of Dublin. Related post: Staying in a Traditional Gypsy Caravan in County Wicklow. I pulled my...
Killarney National Park: The Gap of Dunloe in Pictures | GKM
http://gottakeepmovin.com/killarney-national-park-the-gap-of-dunloe-in-pictures
Killarney National Park: The Gap of Dunloe in Pictures. A steady thud-thud-thud of my walking boots on the road was my soundtrack for this walk in Killarney National Park. The monumental, imposing mountains either side of me their tops covered in fog were silent, but if they could make a sound it would certainly be a deafening boom. I walked the pass that runs through two peaks, named the Gap of Dunloe, for two hours, feeling dwarfed and insignificant next to the commanding scenery. Hit the blue button b...
Day Trips from Dublin: Exploring the Seaside Town of Howth | GKM
http://gottakeepmovin.com/day-trips-from-dublin-howth
Day Trips from Dublin: Exploring the Seaside Town of Howth. I was taking a stroll in Howth, a suburb of Dublin. Located on an island-like peninsula just under an hour by public transport from the city centre. With roots as a fishing village, Howth has a seaside atmosphere, and a castle and ruined abbey give it a historical edge. Related post: Day Trips from Dublin: Discovering Killiney Dalkey. A hodge-podge style café and restaurant set up next to Howth’s DART station. A mixture of permanent outlets and ...

15 Barcelona Film Photos: Looking Up to the Rooftops. There’s something about rooftops that I can’t help but want to photograph. It could be the silhouette they make against the sky or the way they jut out at different heights or angles. Whatever their appearance, my camera lens is often pointed their way. Those of you who know me might remember that I used to live in Barcelona. Related post: 21 Film Photos of Bath, UK. A taxi drives down a narrow street in Barcelona’s centre. Visiting Dartmoor - The People's National Park | GKM
http://gottakeepmovin.com/visiting-dartmoor-national-park
Visiting Dartmoor: The People’s National Park. Wind whipped strands of hair around my face as I stood high up on Pew Tor, a hill in Dartmoor National Park. I was between two towering cairns: rocks piled on top of each other, believed to have been placed centuries ago all over the park as boundary markers or for navigation. Now that modern GPS technology has taken over, these cairns stand today solely as a reminder of the hundreds of years humans have been roaming through Dartmoor. Yes, it’s glorious!

Why You Should Travel. How Travel Promotes Cross Cultural Understanding. 22 May, 2013. The life of travel. Due to the borders as we as humanity have created, there is a strong ‘us’ and ‘them’ mentality which really gets in the way of cross cultural understanding. Not only do I mean actual borders between countries, but the barriers we’ve created through the media and the like showing some countries in an unfair and biased light. The more I travel the more I realize that while there can be the tiniest bit...

Why You Should Travel. Traveling To Learn New Languages. 10 June, 2013. It is not uncommon for long term travellers to end up having a random collection of phrases from all over the world stored up in their minds. As they hop through various countries they to pick up various bits of local lingo in order to get by, and many backpackers make a point of ensuring that they can at least say something in the national language. Why learn another language? Is full of stories and advice from her trips, which incl...

http://www.whyyoushouldtravel.com/home/lifelong-memories-from-traveling-around-the-world
Why You Should Travel. Lifelong Memories From Traveling Around The World. 4 July, 2013. I’m not sure what it is that rushes through the mind of someone who is about to pass from this world, but I like to think that it’s all the memories you’ve made in your life. I know that none of us want to even contemplate that moment for ourselves, but it is so often that I’m faced with the question of ‘Why do you travel so much? Or ‘Why don’t you just stay in one place? Memories have more value. I always wondered if...

Fashion & Beauty. One Perfect Day in Copenhagen. There is something about Copenhagen. That has me longing to make a return visit. Live free. Live Well. The Pornography of A Prepping Addiction. The "doomsday prepper" movement is something that has directly affected my family over the past couple of years.
