A journal of encouragement for those risking a walk on the wild side. The Lord replied, "I will personally go with you.and I will give you rest- everything will be fine for you." Exodus 33:14. Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Who is a Leader? People have been trying to define leadership for as long as there's been more than one person on earth. Who's the boss? We don't want to be told what to do. We do. Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! That's the starting point of leadership: you've see...

Crocheting Dutch Doilies – The Write Way
https://brendavisser.wordpress.com/2012/01/10/crocheting-dutch-doilies
Crocheting with my grandmother, “Oma” in the winter is a warm memory from my first year of marriage. I had moved far away from friends to be with my husband, and was admittedly a little lonely (although I am not sure I admitted it at the time). This doily was a wedding gift from my husband's Oma. She was in her 90s when she made it. She gave me the gift of herself, and I am grateful. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window). Ice and Snow and Winter Blues. It is barely into January, just past Christmas, and already I am longing for spring and green things and eating fresh from the garden. So what to do to chase the winter blues? I tend to work on a lot of creative projects, full of colour. I sew frilly aprons. I crochet. (See another post- Crocheting Dutch Doilies. Flowers in the Snow- I found the pattern for this Norwegian afghan online ( http:/ solgrim.blogspot.ca/2013/04/flowers-in-snow-pattern-in-english.html. Click to sh...

A journal of encouragement for those risking a walk on the wild side. The Lord replied, "I will personally go with you.and I will give you rest- everything will be fine for you." Exodus 33:14. Monday, October 15, 2012. I've mocked the children of Israel, oh, yes, I have! They get delivered from Egypt, have the Red Sea parted for them no less. Food falls from the sky. Water comes from a rock. And they complain. I find myself craving.if not leeks and garlics, quiet. Craving easier. That He won't provide al...
