I am a Hokkien Gal- My Fascination with Tulous (Day 2). Mar 16th, 2011 at 3:00 PM. 和贵楼- Tulou standing on marsh land. It is a custom to give old folks a coffin as a present for their 60th birthday. 怀远楼- Very elegant roundhouse. 云水谣- A quaint town near 怀远楼. On the way to 南溪，we passed by 河坑土楼 also known as 七星北投 and took a snapshot of the cluster. I have my own tulou too :). 衍香楼 belongs to the Su Family. A lot of the people staying there have moved to Singapore to work. 环极楼-With a tropical twist?

I love the cute little art gallery. Taking afternoon nap. Do Not Disturb! 田螺坑 is the only tulou which is lit up at night because of its UNESCO heritage status. It is springtime. Cheerful yellow rape flowers dotted the countryside of Fujian. The plum tree is also in full bloom! We stayed in 和昌楼 which belongs to the Huang family.
