Hazy Afterthought: September 2013
http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Sunday, September 08, 2013. So long, from the world of tomorrow! Futurama aired its final episode this week. While I realize there have been three previous "final" episodes, this still makes me sad. When life was bringing me down, when I felt like Fry - alone and out of place in a confusing world, and feeling like I had no friends - Futurama was there for me. Futurama somehow made everything alright, even if it was just for 22 minutes. A quick update on life:.

Hazy Afterthought: February 2014
http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Wednesday, February 19, 2014. I've decided to post more frequently. I mean, I've got this nice little corner of the web, might as well use it, right? So here's what I'm currently reading:. By Joe Benevento (who just happens to be one of my professors from my days at Truman). The Fault in Our Stars. By John Green. I love his YouTube content - especially the stuff he does for mental floss. Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Hey there, readers! What else is new with me?

Hazy Afterthought: January 2012
http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Monday, January 16, 2012. The other side of "No.". Was brought to my attention today. Parent writes emotional blog post. Outrage ensues. I ask that you please take a moment to consider this situation from the physician's point of view. When any healthcare professional decides to enter the profession, they take an oath to do what is best for their patients, and to put the patient's health above all else. Then why won't they do the surgery? These are the things ...

Hazy Afterthought: May 2012
http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Thursday, May 10, 2012. In which I get all existential. All this talk about same-sex marriage has me kind of pissed off. Who cares if two men or two women who love each other decide to get married and commit to one another for the rest of their lives? That's just kind of dumb. Aren't we better than that? Do we really need such childish analogies to help us get through life? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. In which I get all existential.

Hazy Afterthought: April 2013
http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Tuesday, April 16, 2013. An overdue civics lesson. Mayor Slay said during his inauguration today that he could see the city re-entering the county this decade. St Louis County, meanwhile, is a county, and does all of these things, as well, except for a lot more people. That being said, many city and county residents are opposed to any sort of re-entry for several reasons:. 4 Certain minority communities would experience diminished political clout if the city b...

Hazy Afterthought: My GoFundMe campaign
http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2015/04/my-gofundme-campaign.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Wednesday, April 01, 2015. I like April Fools Day. I used to post something outrageous on my Facebook page each year to see how many people would fall for it. After taking a break for a couple of years, I decided now was the right time to get into it again. That's why I started a GoFundMe campaign today. I'm sure it will be reported and deleted soon enough, so here's the text from the page:. Hi, my name is Bob. Look at me. Look at me right in the face. I have ...

Hazy Afterthought: Hi everyone!
http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2014/02/hi-everyone.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Hey there, readers! I know I haven't written anything in a while. A long while, if we're going to be completely honest. That's because I've been writing for money. Actual money. Last summer, a friend of mine hired me to create some web content for his tech company. So I did that. You can see some of that here. What else is new with me? Does anyone still read this thing? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Hazy Afterthought: September 2011
http://www.hazyafterthought.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Somewhere between invisible and bulletproof. Sunday, September 11, 2011. I really can't believe it's been a decade since that Tuesday morning in September when our lives changed forever. It's been a decade and a day since the last time I didn't think about terrorism. Or the dangers of extremism. Or why we can't all just live with our differences. After all, we're all stuck on this rock together, and nobody gets out alive. There are those who will argue that religion is a positive force. To those indi...
