June 09, 2008. Perfect Grilled Chicken Breasts. I brined six breasts in a quart of water mixed with a quarter cup each of kosher salt and sugar. Mix the brine mixture until the sugar and salt dissolve. Put the breasts in and refrigerate. You want to brine them for only about an hour, no more than two. June 11, 2008. Breakfast for Dinner (Sort Of). Last night we had bacon and eggs for dinner. Just not the way you probably think. I have made them for parties and they always get RAVE reviews. They are best eaten warm. Charlie Brown Cheese Puffs. 1 heaping cup grated cheese (I love sharp cheddar but you can use swiss or pepper jack too). 2 Tbsp. butter, softened. They are a rich chocolate cupcake with fresh banana (yes, fresh) buttercream accented with dark chocolate ganache. The only criticism they got was that my brother wanted some chocolate chips in the cupcake. I can't argue with that, more chocolate is always better! May 05, 2008. Happy Cinco De Mayo. Hope you have a happy (and safe) Cinco De Mayo. Here is a sweet and fun margarita for your celebration. 3 1/2 cups seeded, cubed watermelon. 1/2 cup fresh lime juice. Make a simple syrup by bringing sugar and water to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves; boil for a minute, turn off heat and coo. Put watermelon in blender and puree until smooth. Un après-midi pluvieux, un petit creux au milieu d’une promenade, un petit Magre bourré à craquer, une seule solution : se réfugier quelque part. Au coin de la place de la Bourse, face au magasin Groucho, nous croisons le chemin de Perlette. Une jolie terrasse couverte (qui doit être, ma foi, très agréable par beau temps), une vitrine appétissante, il ne nous en faut pas plus pour franchir le pas. 2 place de la Bourse.
