The salmon is cured for 24-48 hours in a mixture of salt, sugar and dill. This mixture will actually “cook” the fish, giving it an amazing texture and allowing it to last much longer than fresh fish in your fridge. Not a fan of cream cheese bagels? Try it with something as simple as a fresh piece of bread, a bit of butter or some crème fraîche. Once you slice through, you’ll see that the fish has a great texture within. Be sure to plan ahead! Serves: 6-8 for a good brunch. 25 lbs salmon fillet, skin on.

In the summer, I crave two things: simple meals and lobster. So when I stumbled up on Bon Appétit’s Spicy Lobster Spaghetti. I knew this was the perfect pre-Canada Day meal for us. Spaghetti, enough for 3-4 people (try using fresh pasta! 2 tbsp olive oil. 1 large shallot, finely chopped. 1 tsp crushed chili flakes. 1 lb cherry tomatoes, halved. 1 lb lobster meat (I bought a 2-pounder and it was perfect for us). Lemon zest, for garnish. Add the spaghetti and toss to coat. Follow Blog via Email.

So when I need to jet off to work, I don’t even take the time to eat breakfast at home – I need something that’s quick and easy to carry along to the office. For the past couple of months, that something has been fruit and spinach smoothies. Berry, Peach and Spinach Smoothies. 1 cup frozen berries. 4 slices of canned peaches (stored in water). 1/3 cup freshly pressed orange juice (with bits of pulp).
