Every year we provide a number of formal opportunities for parents to meet with teachers to discuss their child(ren)'s progress:. In the first 3 years of school children will have reports and conferences on a 6 month anniversary cycle based around the term in which they started. Mid year reports are issued in June for students in years 4-8. Parents have the opportunity to meet teachers individually to discuss their child(ren)’s progress.

We have three different play areas perfect for all ages and giving the children heaps of opportunities to learn through play . There is no distinction of who may play where but generally the top playground is more poular with the younger children and the lower playground suits the older ones. Over the road we have access to a great swimming facility.

The Governors Bay School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is open to everyone with a child at the school, whether you have a little or a lot of time to spare. We are a fun group committed to both fundraising and providing entertaining activities for our children. We meet twice a term, usually in the evenings and also keep up to date via email.
