Wycliffe Project - JAARS 2008. JAARS is the technical/operations arm of Wycliffe Bible Translators. October 29, 2008. The JAARS center had a huge "Open House," which they do every three months. Wycliffe Project - Thailand 2008. Written by Penny Lent. It's now Saturday afternoon, July 26, 4.pm, and our project is done. We are packed. Crammed into our suitcases and awaiting our taxi-vans in 30 minutes, to jet off to Bangkok for about 18 hours, then back to America! Support Projects
In Thailand serves 500 children, K-12. We have accepted their request to apply and volunteer for one year beginning in January 2010. Gary’s full-time job will be in computer networking, and Penny will write, edit and be a guest teacher. (See Thailand 2010 link at left). The projects we have worked with in 2008 included ten weeks in Cameroon and four weeks in Thailand. We also were five weeks at JAARS and three weeks at SIL Dallas (no blog).
