https://gracealexanderknits.wordpress.com/2012/04/12/im-full-of-beans-granddaughter-is-covered-in-them
Just another WordPress.com site. I’m full of beans Granddaughter is covered in them. My granddaughter is learning to feed herself, trust her mum to give her Heinz Baked Beans – she sent me a picture of her she was plastered in them. I offered to knit her a beanie, my son said, “so long as it isn’t orange.” I thought orange would have been a good colour to camouflage the beans lol. Newer Entry →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Volunteers for lost causes? Or not? | gracealexanderknits
https://gracealexanderknits.wordpress.com/2012/04/23/volunteers-for-lost-causes-or-not-2
Just another WordPress.com site. Volunteers for lost causes? At 9pm last night I finally took my first truly relaxed breath in over 200 days. My son had arrived home to Blackpool in England after his 2nd war tour. 1 in Iraq and this most recent in Afghanistan. I too was a volunteer and I’m sure had there been a war I would have gone and fought for my Country, because I hopefully, would have believed in what I was being expected to fight for. And tagged 200 days. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

A Luddite Knitter goes blogging. Alpaca Open House →. November 13, 2011. I participated in my very first community craft fair yesterday. And I liked it! Eleanor (who I am constantly amazed by – she’s a photographer and super crafty AND a licensed airplane pilot to boot! Gracious enough to include me in her booth at the Frosty Fair in Colchester, Connecticut. Eleanor’s seashell wreaths, her photos, and my shawls. I think I love seashells on wreaths. Who knew? In Bozrah, Connecticut):. Create a free websit...

A Luddite Knitter goes blogging. Moss Rib Mitts →. September 25, 2011. Patrick brought home a wonderful surprise for me on Friday. Fiber freshly spun by Susan. Up in Coventry. All the roving Susan got from local farms, too. Which is totally in sync with my quest to knit my way around my home state. There were three skeins: two, four ounce skeins of CVM Romeldale wool. From the Palmer Family Farm in Tolland, and one two ounce skein of alpaca from the Pine Hill Alpaca Farm. Moss Rib Mitts →.

A Luddite Knitter goes blogging. Swallowtail Shawl →. December 12, 2011. Finished. Done. In the mail on it’s way over the hill and through the woods to Grandma’s house. This rather bright poncho is a Christmas gift for Riley. Who I have never met, don’t have measurements for, but know her to be a little girl who loves pink, and who is my sister-in-law’s niece. Which is pretty much all I needed to know. That and finding a plethora of poncho patterns on Ravelry. This is based on the Poppy Poncho. You are c...

A Luddite Knitter goes blogging. Riley’s Poncho →. November 30, 2011. This is my kind of open house. Burgis Brook Alpacas. In Canterbury held their open house this past weekend. What a perfect thing to do on Thanksgiving weekend, and what a wonderful place this farm is. I’m not certain what these girls were looking at, but they were looking hard. Maybe they were just posing. Like these two:. Can you get over the color of the fiber on these three? There was spinning and knitting, too:.

An alpaca, silk, merino and angora blend of loveliness. It’s a top down, triangular shawl using budding lace for the body, lily of the valley for the border, and ending with a scalloped edge. A Luddite Knitter goes blogging. Newer posts →. September 23, 2011. I have a thing lately with borders. And the garter stitch kerchief. And the need for knit-without-thinking ease and speed. Combine that with a couple of rogue skeins of Alisa’s. Alpaca and silk, and we now have a crochet bordered kerchief. So easy. Three double crochets in each yarn over increase along the sides of the kerchief. Just a hint of a border. That’s all I needed. Seed Stitch Neck Warmer. September 21, 2011. September 18, 2011.

Grace Alexander Flowers
Photo by The Kitcheners. Grace did the flowers for our Devon wedding in May. The were beautiful; rustic, romantic and with a vintage feel - just as we hoped they would be! Grace was lovely to deal with; friendly, communicative and full of practical advice about how to make the very most of our budget. I would absolutely recommend Grace to other bohemian brides - or anyone looking for really special flowers for an event.". If you're a bride or groom and want happiness at your wedding, go here.
