So how does it work for us? With no formal services, no leadership how do we survive and even thrive as Christians? Good questions, and ones that we've asked ourselves. Firstly each person takes responsibility for their own relationship with God. It can be easy to get to rely on someone 'up front', but we have found that once that is gone your personal relationship with Jesus is shown for what it is. And if you care about that you will attend to it yourself. Internet forum that we created for the purpose.

Welcome to the post-BCC Community
http://brookwoodcommunitychurch.org.uk/index.htm
Welcome to BCC, or to what used to be BCC! Brookwood Community Church ran as a recognisable free church from September 2001 until December 2008. So although our belief and commitment to church is strong, it is more to the Body of Christ that is His worldwide church on earth. As we no longer tick all the boxes that most people recognise as 'a church', so we find it more helpful not to present ourselves as one. These pages should go some way to explain what we are about and how we got here.

The Shared Beliefs of BCC
http://brookwoodcommunitychurch.org.uk/belief.htm
It's worth noting that although so much has changed for our community the statement of belief that we drafted in 2001 still stands. So although the expression of our faith is quite different, the underpinning belief has not changed. So we haven't 'gone off the rails' for anyone who was wondering! The Mission, the Bible and our God. The mission of the Church is to help people become committed followers of Jesus Christ. The Need and the Solution. We believe that the salvation of humanity is wholly a work o...

The Children of BCC
http://brookwoodcommunitychurch.org.uk/children.htm
A question that caused some anxiety when we stopped meeting together formally was: What will happen to the children? This meet very successfully for two and a half years until the time when it had run its course and kids moving on resulted in the numbers becoming impractical. Until that time we had met weekly during term-time at a local hall (a facility we used courtesy of our friends from a local Anglican church. To cover any other ad hoc events we might hold in the future.

the Background of BCC
http://brookwoodcommunitychurch.org.uk/background.htm
Where BCC came to find itself was not by the execution of some master plan (not a human one anyway). So here is a little history by way of background. In 2001 a small group of friends found that the derelict Chapel on the site of the old Brookwood Hospital was coming up in their thoughts, prayers and conversations. These friends were at that time part of New Life Church. In 2002 we invited Kerry Southey. A change of accent. Visitors since 29th August 2001:.
