Http:/ www.graceforself.com. GRACE - AN ACT OF KIND ASSISTANCE. In July 2000, I decided to become the sole caregiver and support to the man I loved after he suffered a spinal cord injury. I moved from San Diego to North Dakota to be with him. We were then married in 2001. I am not complaining about my life. I have been lucky in so many ways and there are millions of other women who have had to deal with and overcome things that I cannot imagine surviving, yet alone thriving after, which so many have.
