Tuesday, April 15, 2014. An "epoch" in my life. There's a scene in the book Penderwicks on Gardam Street. Where one of the sisters, Jane, has her play performed and she thrilled beyond measure- when she realizes, “. all this was the result of her imagination come to life.”. Well, this weekend, I felt the same way! I truly had, as Anne of Green Gables. Would say, an "epoch" in my life. Because, for the first time, I was able to see my book performed as a play. Another great visit I don't want to forget was in Houston, TX, where two schools chose W here the Mountain Meets the Moon. As their One Book, One School Read title. Can I tell you how much I LOVE when schools do this. It's my absolute favorite thing when a whole school reads my book. I admit I get a bit disheartened when Where the Mountain Meets the Moon. Thursday, May 29, 2014. Creating their own mountain. With the Wheelock show in Boston. And the Starry River of the Sky production in MN. Now over, I thought it would be a long time before I saw any images of my books on stage again. However, the completely-awesome-Abington-Friends-School-third-grade-teacher Felix Chen, sent some new photos that made my day! Story of Jade Dragon. In the fall, the aforementioned teacher Felix Chen and his co-teacher Karolye Eldridge shared Where the Mountain Meets the Moon.

Monday, April 20, 2015. Nose to the grindstone. Revising the first draft of the new novel! Recently, I've come up for air to attend events like the Virginia Hamilton Conference. And the Richland Library's Augusta Baker's Dozen Storytelling Celebration. It's been great (thank you to all the came! So fun to meet all of you! But it's back to work I go!
